Who Am I

My name is David McArthur, and I am running to represent District Seat 2 on the Aspen Peaks School District School Board. For the past 18 years, I have seen firsthand the impact of public education. My wife is an educator, I’ve been heavily involved in the education of my children, and I had the opportunity to work with high school students as a coach. 

These experiences have given me a lens into how public education is the great equalizer. It allows ALL students from any background, circumstance, and socioeconomic group to receive the vital benefit public education provides like skill development, increased knowledge, ignites passions, and provides them a vision for their future,

As we start this new district, it is crucial to have many voices working together for the benefit of the students, teachers, and community. One of my strengths is to listen to multiple perspectives, keep a level-head, and implement the most effective ideas. Moreover as an entrepreneur, I’ve started several successful financial service industry businesses. I bring this knowledge and the expertise that comes from building something from the ground up.  

It takes tenacity, dedication, flexibility, and the direction to set and achieve goals.  We are laying the foundation for the Aspen Peaks School District to stand the test of time.  I am excited to put in the work and effort necessary to make Aspen Peaks School District a leader in public education.
