•  Student Development: All students will have access to tools for success whether that be through language services, special education services, gifted services, a variety of programs/classes, and clubs/extracurricular activities that extend the learning environment.

• Quality: All students have the right to excellence in education through a quality public education experience.

•  Curriculum: Focusing curriculum around the 6 Cs of 21st Century skills: Character, Citizenship, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking will help prepare our students for the 21st Century world, making them successful at the next level.

•  Student Accountability: We must hold students to high standards and measurable learning expectations.

#2-Teacher Support

•  Teacher working conditions are student learning conditions.

•  Salary and Benefits: Providing a competitive salary as well as favorable health insurance and benefits attracts and retains high-quality teachers.

•  Funding and Programs: Teachers deserve help to make their classrooms effective through funding, programs, and parental support. Team collaboration, access to the best proven educational practices, and time and resources will help ensure that teachers provide the best learning environment possible for our students.

•  Professionalism: Trust teachers as professional educators who continually look out for the best interests of each student.

•  Teacher Accountability: We must hold teachers to high educational standards as we can’t afford to have teachers who don’t provide an excellent educational opportunity for our students.

#3-Transparency and Understanding

•  I value the opportunity for parents, teachers, and school board members to work together to provide the best educational opportunities available.

•  Curriculum: Decisions are best made at the local level in conjunction with teachers, administrators, and parents.

•  Finances: We have a duty to be wise stewards of our local tax dollars and an obligation to provide a detailed accounting of how that money is spent.

•  Responsive: It is imperative to represent my constituents by listening to their concerns and making decisions that will benefit the students, teachers, and community.

•  School Board Accountability: We must hold school board members to the highest standards with the sole focus being what is best for student learning.
